Monarchs Baseball Finds Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wilson, Manning(Opens in a new window) was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Scott's Branch Eagles(Opens in a new window) with a sharp 15-0 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Monarchs' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The team relied heavily on CJ Robinson(Opens in a new window), who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lovell Stevenson(Opens in a new window), who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.

Manning always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
